Push to talk?
I downloaded TS3, but I can't get the Push to talk-feature to work. I really want to use that, because voice activation is annoying when there is anyone else in the room and I want to talk to them outside of the game. Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hy RB
U need to go to "settings" I think it is and make a "push to speak" key of ur choice. u can also test it there too.
U also must choose between PTT & VA.
All is shown on the drop down menus.

Hi MK,
I tried fooling around with every possible setting. When I test it, it works fine; the gauge reads my voice, but when I then log on to a channel, it doesn't work at all, unless I chose VA.

How about you use VA and choose a button to mute your mic?
That's what I would do, so I can speak without pushing a button but mute it when needed.

That's a good idea, but I don't know how to do that. I think I went through all the menus, but I can't find it. I'm not good with computers, so that might explain it... :-)

Re: Teamspeak 3 IP
RB trust me, if I can do it, you can do it, too.
If you have a MAC, you can choose your Hotkey for muting the mic in the start up assistant or later in the preferences.
BUT:
For global hotkeys, you need to enable a setting in the Mac system preferences.
- Open System Preferences
- Universal Access
- "Enable access for assistive devices" (on bottom)
This is for Mac OS X 10.5.8, I don't know if it's still named the same on 10.6.
The reason for this is, on Mac by default you cannot catch keypresses from one application if another application has the focus for security reasons as a protection mechanism against malware trying to log keyboard input. In order to catch TeamSpeak 3 hotkeys when another application is running, this option must be explicitly enabled, otherwise OS X would not pass the keypresses to TS3.
On a PC I just know that you need to run the program as administrator, then it should be possible to pass the hotkeypresses to TS3 even if the game is running.
Hope this helps...cheerio,
Rocky
